My name is Katie Thornburg and this is my 5th year teaching. I completed my student teaching at SCCHS in the Spring of 2017 and graduated from UAB in April of 2017. I taught at Huffman High School for the following three years before taking two years off during the height of the pandemic and came back to the field during the 23/24 school year.

I am happy to finally be a SAINT- it certainly feels like a homecoming!

I began as the Yearbook Advisor in the 22/23 school year and I look forward to advising The Saint Clairon's 98th Edition this 23/24 school year with such a vibrant, creative group of student-creators!

Beginning in the 23/24 school year I am also the Head Coach for the Girls Soccer Team. I look forward to a winning season with a talented group of bright, spirited student-athletes!

My husband (Austin) and I have 4 children. Our children are Chase (20), Payton (14), Noah (8), and Kristopher (7). Chase has graduated and the other three attend Odenville Schools. Payton is a member of the 23/24 SCCHS Colorguard. We live on a farm in Odenville called Diamind T Farms where we own horses, goats, cows, and donkeys. You can find us all at our farm, Rodeos and barrel races, the soccer and baseball fields, or at the bowling alley when school is not in session! We are huge Braves fans and enjoy being at our farm and riding horses!
