MEAL Pick Up information :
On Monday November 2nd each cafeteria will offer curbside pick-up of breakfast and lunch for that day. On Tuesday November 3rd, a 5-day meal kit will be available for pick-up which will include meals for the rest of the week. This will be the last meal pick-up offered for that week. The next week, we will offer a 3-day meal kit on Monday November 9th to get students through Veterans Day until they return to school Thursday, November 12th. Meals can be picked up from 10:30-12:30 in the campus locations utilized this summer. Parents are encouraged to sign-up for these meals through a sign-up sheet posted on each school’s website. Please plan to pick-up meals at the school where your child is enrolled. VPA Students can pick-up meals at any campus. Meals are free to all children 18 years and younger. We hope that you will take advantage of the meals offered through the child nutrition program during our e-learning school days. As a reminder, all students regardless of their lunch eligibility of free, reduced, or full paid will continue to receive meals at no cost for the entire school year.

SCCS will transition to elearning starting November 2-November 11. Traditional school will resume Thursday, November 12.
Your child's teacher will be contacting you concerning assignments during this time. If you have any questions or concerns about those assignments, then you may contact your child's teacher.

The more your child reads at school and at home, the better they become and the better their test scores become. OES is a Title I school qualifying as a percentage of our students recieved free and reduced lunch meals. This allows our school to receive federal dollars. Along with federal, state and local funds, our school is able to operate and upgrade the instructinal teaching of our school.
THis year with our Federal Budget, we are able to fund 2 classroom teachers.
OES has achieved a rank of more than 40% free and reduced lunch status making us eligible to recieve funds.
So please take the time to fill out the free and reduced lunch form as your child's status could improve our funding!
We have received word that through funding from the CARES act and actions by Governor Ivey, there will be prepaid internet service vouchers send to all families with free/reduced lunch students in the household. It is vitally important that you get the word out to the free/reduced families in your school so they will know this not a scam and will be watching for the vouchers. You can assist with this process by talking to parents, placing information on your school websites and pages, including information on automated calls, etc. The voucher letters are currently slated to begin arriving in mailboxes by August 24th. Therefore, we must act quickly. I am assuming that this information is coming from last year's free/reduced numbers, but as always, once school begins, it is imperative that we get those new lunch forms processed asap, as there will be additional families this year who were not on last year's list.
Bullying Anonymous Reporting
You may read our board policy and/or fill out the Bullying Notification Form to submit a bullying notification to the Board of Education directly. Otherwise, report a bullying incident anonymously here. The appropriate administrators will be notified completely anonymously.
