Dear Parents and Students,

     I would like to take a moment and welcome you to your new fourth grade classroom in room 10 at Ashville Elementary School. I am very excited to begin our journey together where we will learn and grow from each other. I call my students the Adams’ Apples. During the first week of school, I will discuss with each student how each apple has a star in its center and how that star relates to each one of us. I believe that each child is a star with wonderful qualities that need to be unlocked. We must always help each other to shine our apples daily and encourage each other when needed.

     I have taught in Ohio, Tennessee, and Alabama. I have taught grades first through eighth. I hold a BS degree in elementary education with a concentration in science from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.  I also hold a MS degree from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. I am highly qualified in Alabama and have a deep passion for teaching. My mission in my classroom is to create lifelong learners with a thirst to never stop learning.

     I am married to Wes Adams. We celebrated our 34^th wedding anniversary this year. We are the parents of two wonderful young men: Tommy, 29 and Andrew, 25.  Tommy resides in Ohio and is in the Army National Guard.  He also serves as an Ohio State Trooper. Andrew is in school continuing his journey to earn his doctorate degree in Physical Therapy/Kinesiology. He graduates this Summer! We live in Springville and enjoy the small town atmosphere.
