Let me tell you a little about myself. I have a Masters Degree in Secondary Education Mathematics.

I have also been married for over 20 years and am the mother of two boys. As a mother and an educator I have found that answering the question "WHY?" is very important for learning.

I plan to use my student's natural curiosity of "WHY" to increase their mathematical knowledge by showing students how math is important to them in their everyday life.

Our class motto will be: Learning why is just as important as learning how.

Experience
Throughout my career teaching secondary mathematics, I have several years experience teaching middle school math in St. Clair County.  I am very excited to be home at Springville Middle School where I can teach students the foundational skills they will need to succeed.  This year I will be teaching 8th Grade Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1.
