WELCOME to the 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR!!

I have been teaching for 30 years. In that time, I have taught at Erwin High School, Jefferson State Community College, Moody High School, Springville Middle School, and Springville High School.  I currently teach Algebra 2, AP Statistics, and AP Calculus. I am married to Tommy Saffles and we have six children (all graduated from SHS) and twelve grandchildren. Tommy and I attend and serve at Faith Community Fellowship Church in Springville.  I am at the stage in my career where I am now teaching the children of previous students, but I still love teaching as much as I did the day I started.  

I am super excited to not only teach your children mathematics, but to get to know them this year.  I love my job and I feel truly blessed to be a part of the lives of each and every student.  I know each child has different learning styles and preferences and I will do my best to reach each of them with the mathematical skills they need to continue their education or to survive in the work place.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at roxanne.saffles@sccboe.org or (205) 467-7833.
