I have taught Kindergarten and First grade. I have also worked and coached in private and public schools in Montgomery and Madison County. Currently I teach first grade and coach Varsity Competition and Junior High Sideline Cheerleading at RHS.
I grew up in a small town near Huntsville, before moving to Montgomery for college where I met my wonderful husband, Dustin.
Dustin and I were married in 2015 and moved to Pinson. We had our first child, Emily Grace, in 2019. We also have an amazing niece, Madalynn Grace.
I was a gymnast most of my life before cheering on my high schools competitive cheerleading team. I also cheered at Faulkner University. If I'm not at school or coaching you can probably find me on the beach with my family. I love to read, paint, and craft.
I love creating interactive activities to keep my sweet first graders engaged. We dress up like doctors and perform surgery on sentences, become pirates and hunt for buried math treasure, compete in the subtraction Super Bowl, use our math skills to escape from our Classroom Escape rooms, become chefs in the Comma Cafe, build words at our Construction site and sometimes even play life size Hungry Hippos. I can't wait to have a great year with your child in my class.
I have worked in Montgomery County public and private schools since 2010 and have taught kindergarten in Madison County.
I have been teaching at RHS since 2015.
