My name is Jaime Giangrosso, and it is my honor to serve as principal at Moody Middle School beginning in 2022! I am excited to work with you and this amazing staff as we work together to help our students be successful lifelong learners.
I grew up in St. Clair County, Illinois, which is right outside of St. Louis, Missouri. I love Cardinals baseball and Blues hockey! I moved to Arley, Alabama, when I was in middle school and graduated from Meek High School in 1997. I graduated from Wallace State Community College with an Associate's Degree in Sports Medicine in 1999. I continued my learning at the great UAB, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education in 2002, a Master's Degree in Physical Education in 2006, an Educational Specialist's Degree in Physical Education in 2012, and a second Master's Degree in Educational Leadership in 2015. Go Blazers!
I have been working in schools since 2002, beginning as a certified athletic trainer working for many high schools throughout the state. I also began teaching in 2002. I have most recently spent 14 years of my career in Trussville City Schools as a physical education teacher. Before beginning at MMS, I served as assistant principal at Moody Elementary School.
I am married to Pete Giangrosso, who is a teacher and a coach at Mountain Brook High School. We have two children, a daughter Emily, and a son Tripp.
I feel blessed to be given this opportunity to work with the teachers, staff, students, and families of the Moody community, and I am looking forward to a great school year!
