Developing future leaders is our aim through the Moody Middle School Peer Helpers Program. The Peer Helpers mission is to empower students to be academically, socially and emotionally successful; to recognize and resolve conflict; to value diversity; and to be advocates for positive change and healthy choices.
These students must have a good character and be of high academic and attendance standing. They are chosen through an application process including; teacher nomination, student application and teacher evaluation.
Once named a peer helper, these students work with our school staff on many events and campaigns; such as The Kindness Challenge, Red Ribbon Week, AMSTI Night, 4th Grade Orientation and many more.
The benefits are two-fold: the school has helping hands of responsible young people and the peer helpers have an opportunity to become self starters and leaders at a young age.
