In 1992, I decided to make a drastic career change and returned to college to become a Speech Language Pathologist. I made that decision because of my son's difficulties. In 1996, I graduated from the University of Montevallo with a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, and began my SLP career in St. Clair County Schools. In 2003, I decided to work with adults recovering from strokes, accidents, and other health issues, but I returned to the school system because I simply missed working with children! After working in two other school systems, I am excited and thankful to have the opportunity to return to St. Clair County Schools! As the parent of an adult child who experienced speech and language learning difficulties growing up, I have a unique perspective and understand the importance of team work to help each child reach his or her maximum potential. I LOVE what I do! Please never hesitate to contact me if you have questions or concerns about your child.
