Ms. Vicki Scott

Welcome to Science.

My name is Vicki Scott and I have been teaching for the past 36 years. Before coming on board at VPA, I taught at Southeastern School in Blount County.

I retired at Southeastern after 34 years and I have been with VPA since Day 1!

I have taught elementary and middle school, all subjects and all grades. My particular passion however was the last 10 years that I spent in the Science Lab. You might say that I am a Science Nerd. My former students nicknamed me Ms. Frizzle from the Magic School Bus.

I have two grown daughters and one silly dog!

I look forward to spending this crazy 2020/21 school year with you.

    Hi everyone!

Before we go on break, I wanted to reach out to you about several things...

1.First of all, I want to encourage you to monitor your progress and make sure you are on pace to finish the course on time. If you are on pace, and if you have at least a 70 average in the class, you will be rewarded by being allowed to skip your midterm exam and get full credit for it. That should be great motivation! I will check your progress on January 5th and will reward exemptions at that time.

2.Some of you are ahead of pace and that's great. If I have accidentally overlooked exempting you from the midterm, feel free to contact me and let me know.

3.During the break, I will not be online daily to respond to your questions and request. Please let me know, though, if there is something you need from me. I will try to check my email several times while we are out of school.

4.Finally, I know this year has been a real struggle, and we have all had to adapt in ways we could have never imagined. I'm proud of you for your efforts, and I wanted to let you know that. I hope you all have a wonderful, blessed Christmas and a happy new year. Please stay safe!

    Merry Christmas,

     Let It Snow!!!
