I am proud to say that I have had the privilege of working as guidance counselor at Ashville Middle School since 2003. Prior to becoming guidance counselor, I worked at AMS as a 6th grade math teacher. I love Ashville Middle School and its students. I am a 1985 graduate of Ashville High School and a native of St. Clair County. I attended Jacksonville State University and received a B.S. degree in elementary education in 1989. I also have a Master of Science degree in Counseling from JSU. Go Gamecocks!
I have been married to my husband, Jim, for 34 years. We have one son, Tyler. He is a graduate of UAB and is currently employed at Blunt Springs Materials in Ashville. He is married to Eden and they have one son, Carter Jim Montgomery. Our daughter, Anna, is a graduate of Jefferson State Community College and is married to Corey Young. They have two children, Jack Manley and Abel Azariah Young. Being a grandmother is my favorite hobby and I love spending time with my three grandsons! I have two cats, Gimli and Jasper, and two dogs, Bull and Petunia.
In my spare time I enjoy being a grandmother, traveling, reading, cooking and walking. My family is actively involved in church at Cool Springs Baptist Church.
