I am Daphne Long. I am married to my wonderful husband, Andrew. I have two adult special needs boys, Christopher and Nathan. We have a dog named Riley.

     When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling, trying new adventures, drinking coffee, spending time with family and watching movies. My family and I enjoy going to the beach each year and hiking during the spring and fall.

     I began my career in education as a paraprofessional over fifteen years ago. I have taught 6^th grade English Language Arts. I have taught 5th grade all subjects and I have taught PreK. I have experience in both public and private school systems.

     I have a Master’s degree in Elementary Education PreK to 6^th grade from Liberty University. I have a Bachelors degree in Human Services and Management (Human Resources) from University of Phoenix. I would consider getting an additional master’s degree or more in the future.

     I am excited about teaching at Steel and getting to know the students, school and community. I am looking forward to sharing my love of learning and reading with my students.
