My name is Amy Pitts. I am very excited to be at Odenville Elementary this year as a special education resource teacher. This will be my 17th year teaching in public schools, 6th year in St. Clair County, and my 2nd year at OES. I have a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a master's degree in Collaborative Special Education. I am certified to teach general education from Pre-k through 6th grade and special education from K-12th grade, which includes reading.
I am married to my husband Bill and we live in Odenville. I have 3 young adult children. Haylee is an artist and designer, Wes works in marketing and management, and Carlie is a general manager for Zaxby's and is the mother of my granddaughter, Zoey! Haylee, Wes, Carlie, and myself all earned our degrees from The University of Alabama! So my students will hear me say, Roll Tide, quite often! I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, going to the beach, and watching Alabama, SEC, and Olympic sports.
