• This is my first year at Odenville Middle School.  I graduated from UAB with a Bachalors of Science in Kinesiology.  I'm also the Head Middle School Football coach.  Prior to teaching I served in the United States Marine Corps as Motor Transport Mechanic (Mos: 3521) from 2008 to 2016.  I served one tour in Afghanistan (OEF) in 2011 to 2012.  I'm absolutely grateful for this opportunity to be able to teach within the St. Clair County School system and certainly at OMS.  I look forward to many great years of building students confidence, motivations, ability, and skills through PE class.

Physical education is important because it helps students stay physically active, develop interests in different types of physical activity, build teamwork and other social skills, and improve focus and academic performance.  The reason why physical education is important is to give students a goal to work on. Their minds are fully engaged in these activities and learn to value their time. They will also be more competitive and cooperative than other students. That's why those who exercise often are more motivated and eager to achieve something or excel in life since they are inspired to become better.
