• All are welcomed, and all are loved in this art room!

Hi, I'm Morgan Gray, and I teach Visual Arts at Ashville and Ragland. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Visual Arts from the University of Montevallo in 2014, and I completed my Master's Degree in P-12 Art Education in 2020.

I strive to instill a small appreciation for visual arts in my students when they come into my class. I understand that not every student that comes into my room wants to be in art, but it simply fits their schedule. I am not expecting those who walk into my room to create artwork like Vincent Van Gogh, Frida Kahlo, Roy Lichtenstein, etc. - I simply expect for them to be themselves and create to the best of their ability.

A few things about me, the ocean is one of my favorite things (ask any of my current students this because most of my example projects are centered around the ocean). I'm a sucker for a good book - I set one goal for 2021 and it was to read 50 books. I have a senior cat who is older than most of my students. I will always strive to create and cultivate a positive and welcoming classroom environment for my students while they are in my room.
