  • Hi, I'm Morgan Gray - the art enrichment teacher for Ashville and Ragland! I have the greatest joy of getting to teach art to 8th through 12th graders and sharing the importance of art in and out of the classroom. I got my Bachelors in Visual Art from the University of Montevallo in 2018, and then continued my education and my Masters in Education for P-12 Art in 2020. This is my third year teaching at Ashville and Ragland, and teaching in general - I have loved the experience and have learned so much alongside my students.

The biggest thing students need to know upon entering my art room is that it is a safe space for all students. I want my students to come in and be able to be their true authentic selves when they are in my classroom. I want to help students create and make artwork, regardless of what they think their ability is. Everyone has some sort of an artist in them, and I want to encourage that and help them grow more confident in their ability. We want to cultivate at least an understanding and appreciation for art through hands-on experience!
