Welcome to 1st grade! My name is Alayna Tippen. I am so happy to be your teacher for the 2023-2024 school year! This will be my second year teaching 1st grade at OES. We will learn so many wonderful things together this year!

I graduated from UAB in 1994 with my degree in Early Childhood Education. I have worked in education for over 30 years with students from Pre-K to 5th grade.  

I live in Trussville with my husband Scott and our two fur babies, Macie and Mabel. We have two adult children. Noah coaches tennis at Mississippi State University and Livy will be a senior at UAB. I love to spend time with my family and dogs, organize things, watch tv and read when possible.
