Mrs. Ashley Shelton
Hello! My name is Ashley Shelton, and I am so excited to be teaching 2nd grade at Ashville Elementary this year. This is my fourth year teaching in St. Clair County, but my seventh year teaching overall. I earned my bachelor's degree from the University of Montevallo in 2008 in Collaborative Education K-6. I then went on to pursue my master's degree from Auburn University. I graduated from Auburn in 2010 with a degree in Collaborative Education K-12. I truly love working with students in whole and small group settings to ensure that their needs are being meet. One of the most special things about being a teacher is helping students develop confidence in themselves, so that they can achieve any goal that they have.
I have a wonderful family and feel so blessed to be a wife and mom to such special people. My husband, Chase, is a pharmacist and we just recently opened a pharmacy right here in Ashville. We have two sons, Cole and Jacob, and they keep us very busy. In our spare time, we love to take trips to the beach. Since the days seem to be going by faster and faster any time we have together is very special.
Please know that I feel very privileged to be your child's teacher. Feel free to contact me any time you have questions or concerns.
