Welcome to the Library at AES!

  • The Ashville Elementary School Media Center provides a large variety of fiction and nonfiction books in both print and digital formats. Our books are purchased from a variety of vendors including ABDO, Simon & Schuster, Scholastic, Capstone, Usborne, Bearport and many others.

The Library Media Center also contains teacher resource sets to be checked out for classroom listening centers and small groups. Our reference book collection is housed on a portable cart to make classroom use easier.

The AES Media Center participates in various activities to promote reading, including “Be a Champion and Read” in the Fall of each year, and Read Across America in March. We host two Book Fairs each year to provide students the opportunity to purchase inexpensive and interesting books to enjoy at home and help raise money to purchase more books for checkout from the library.

It is of the utmost importance to the AES Media Center that every student has access to a diverse collection of excellent reading materials. To this end, we make every effort to continually evaluate and improve our collection and practices.
