Ms. Michele Rogers

Hello!

I am originally from a small town in Tennessee right on the Alabama/Tennessee state line. I graduated from North Jackson High School in 2007. For one year, I attended Shelton State in Tuscaloosa. I wanted to transfer to Alabama, but I couldn't get in-state tuition. God had better plans for me and led me to Jacksonville, Alabama. I graduated from JSU in December 2010. After graduation, I subbed in Calhoun County and worked at Academy Sports while beginning work on my school counseling degree which I received in May 2014.

The 2021-2022 school year will begin my 10th year to teach at Ashville Middle School and 11th year to teach overall. I love being part of the Bulldog family! My first year was at Duran South in Pell City. At AMS I teach ELA, technology, and exploratory and co-sponsor Beta Club with Mrs. Montgomery. I'm also the cross country coach and assistant track coach at AHS.

When I have spare time, I enjoy making crafts and recipes I find on Pinterest, sewing and monogramming, running, reading, visiting my family in Tennessee, and spending time with my shih-tzus Molly and Abby.

Go Dawgs!
