Thank you for checking out my page! I am beginning my 18th year teaching at Ashville Middle School and my 30th year overall. Originally, I am from Tuscaloosa, Alabama and graduated from there with my undergraduate degree in Education in 1987 and my Master's Degree in Secondary English Education in 1996. When I began teaching at St. Clair County High School in the fall of 1996, I was delighted to discover my roots in St. Clair County ran deep. Little did I know that in the 1920s my paternal grandmother, Laura Glidewall Mullins, boarded during the seek in Odenville to go to school, and each Friday her father would pick her up in a horsedrawn wagon to take her back "over the mountain" to live in Ashville. WOW! So, needless to say, accepting my first teaching position in St. Clair County felt like coming home.
