Mr. Tim Harris

Mr. Tim Harris is in his first year as Band Director at Ashville Middle and High Schools. He previously taught at Glencoe High School, Fort Payne Middle and High Schools and Hokes Bluff High School over a span of 26 years. Mr. Harris is a 1987 graduate of Ringgold High School, Ringgold GA and joined the U.S. Army as an Army Bandsman, graduating from Basic Training at Fort Dix, NJ and the Armed Forces School of Music, Little Creek Amphibious Base, VA in 1989. Upon graduating from the Armed Forces School of Music, Mr. Harris served in the 14th Army Band at Fort McClellan, AL for 2 years. After completing his first active duty assignment, he joined the 313th Army Band (Reserves) where he still serves at the rank of Sergeant First Class. In addition to joining the Army Reserves, Mr. Harris returned to Jacksonville State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Music Education in 1995 and continued his education at The University of Alabama, earning his Master of Educational Leadership degree. Mr. Harris resides in Gadsden with his wife, Stacy (also a Band Director) and children, Kaelyn (19), Kendall, Ethan and Dawson (all 16).
