Experience
While attending UAB, I worked at Blackcreek Integrated Systems. This company created software to manage prison systems. Upon graduation from UAB, I was hired by Bellsouth. I worked as a test system administrator, a subject matter expert and a production manager from 1996-1998. Bellsouth’s IT department was outsourced to Accenture Consulting in 1998. I was hired by Accenture Consulting and moved to Atlanta, Georgia to work at Bellsouth’s company headquarters.
In 2001, I accepted a position at Coosa Valley Technical College as a Computer Science instructor. They had a shortage in math teachers so I began to teach math classes also. My family moved to Florida in 2005. I took a position teaching math at Renaissance Academy. In 2007, my family returned to Alabama, and I accepted a position teaching at Parkway Christian Academy in 2008. Parkway Christian was purchased by Cornerstone Schools of Alabama in 2014, and I taught there until 2016. I was hired in 2016 at Ashville High School. I have been delighted to be in St. Clair County and it is a joy to work at Ashville.
