Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Jessica Tollison. I have been a teacher at Moody Elementary for sixteen years. I have taught first grade for eleven years and am starting my fourth year as an Intervention Teacher. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Jacksonville State University in April 2004. I earned my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Alabama in August 2007.
I grew up in Gadsden, Alabama and moved to Moody when I began teaching in 2004. I have been married for eleven years to a wonderful man, Brad Tollison. He is the associate/youth pastor at Bethel Baptist Church. We have three precious boys; Luke (8 years) Lane (5 years) Layton (10 months).
I feel like teaching young children is a calling and I am so glad God chose me to work/teach elementary students. In my classroom there is a lot of movement, personality, and learning taking place every day. I am very excited about teaching intervention using a program called Lexia. I am excited to use a program that meets each child individually where they are and takes them to the next level of learning.
