Experience
This school year marks my 17th year of teaching experience and my eighth year at Moody High School. I received my undergraduate degree from Rhodes College, and a Masters of English and a Masters of Public Administration from Jacksonville State. Before returning to my home state of Alabama, I taught English and Reading in Polk County, Florida, where I also taught English and Composition at the college level. My grandmother taught in the one-room school house in Bethel during the Depression; my mother taught in Odenville in the 60s; and I am continuing the St. Clair County educational tradition at Moody High School. Currently, I teach Pre-AP English 9, AP Literature and Composition, and Creative Writing. I also serve as the English department chair and the coach of E-Sports.
