LIFE is a foreign language:  all men mispronounce it.

About the Teacher

Degrees and Certifications:

Lori Miller

¡Hola y bienvenidos a mi página! I am Lori Miller, and this is my third year with St Clair County High School.  I teach Spanish, Digital Media Publications, and Psychology.  However, this is my twenty-fifth year teaching, having previously taught Spanish, Social Sciences, and ESL at schools elsewhere in North Alabama and in the Birmingham area.

I received a BS in History from UAB, then my MAE so that I could teach Social Sciences and Spanish.  I have also attended study abroad programs with the University of Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico and with the Cemanahuac School in Cuernavaca, Mexico.  I am currently working on my EdS at JSU.

I have traveled extensively, and having also studied the Social Sciences, I have indulged a love for the language and culture of the countries that I teach about, which I hope to pass on to the students that I teach.

I live in Trussville, Alabama with my son, who attends Hewitt-Trussville High School.

If you need to speak with me, I encourage you to contact me through email.  Between being in the classroom during the day and family responsibilities outside of the classroom, it is difficult to work in phone time.  However, I am never far from a device and I check email frequently.  It is the most effective method of communicating with me and the one most likely to get a timely and productive response.
