Lori Miller

¡Hola y bienvenidos a mi página! I am Lori Miller, and this is my sixth year at St Clair County High School.  I teach Spanish and Psychology.  However, this is my twenty-seventh year teaching, having previously taught Spanish, Social Sciences, Digital Media Publications, and ESL at schools elsewhere in North Alabama and in the Birmingham area.

I received a BS in History from UAB, an MAE from UAB so that I could teach Social Sciences and Spanish, and my EdS in Teacher Leadership from Jacksonville State University.    I have also attended study abroad programs with the University of Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico and with the Cemanahuac School in Cuernavaca, Mexico.

I have traveled extensively, and having also studied the Social Sciences, I have indulged a love for the language and culture of the countries that I teach about, which I hope to pass on to the students that I teach.

I live in Trussville, Alabama and I have a son who is a freshman at the University of Alabama.  Roll Tide!

If you need to speak with me, I encourage you to contact me through email.  Between being in the classroom during the day and family responsibilities outside of the classroom, it is difficult to work in phone time.  However, I am never far from a device and I check email frequently.  It is the most effective method of communicating with me and the one most likely to get a timely and productive response.
