- How to Become an Approved Volunteer
Step 1 - Complete the online background check (can be found on our website)
Step 2 - Complete the volunteer application form with your Driver's License attached and turn this form into the school
Step 3 - Administration will then submit your name to the Board of Education who will then give the ok to process your background check
Step 4 - You will receive notification that you've been approved. We do our best to notify you if there is an issue with your background check- ex: incorrect SS#, name on DL doesn't match name submitted, etc.
7:15 - Doors open for car riders
7:25- Bus riders are released from buses
7:50 - Tardy bell rings
2:40 - Dismissal begins
If you arrive after 7:50, you will need to come into the office and check-in your child.
A parent/guardian note can be accepted for 10 total absences during the school year.
Breakfast = $1.25 for students
Lunch= $2.75 for students $4.25 for visitors
Parents & Guardians are allowed to eat lunch with their child beginning in September. You must notify your child's teacher in advance. Due to seating capacity, no more than 2 students can have parents in the lunchroom on any given day.

Students must be registered online with all paperwork turned in before they can be assigned to a classroom.
Be sure to upload or bring the following documents with you to register your child!
Alabama Immunization Form
Proof of Residency 1 (mortgage, lease, deed, residency affidavit)
Two proofs of residency (water and power bill)
Copy of government issued photo ID
Legal Documents (custody, etc.)
The more your child reads at school and at home, the better they become and the better their test scores become. OES is a Title I school qualifying as a percentage of our students recieved free and reduced lunch meals. This allows our school to receive federal dollars. Along with federal, state and local funds, our school is able to operate and upgrade the instructinal teaching of our school.
THis year with our Federal Budget, we are able to fund 2 classroom teachers.
OES has achieved a rank of more than 40% free and reduced lunch status making us eligible to recieve funds.
So please take the time to fill out the free and reduced lunch form as your child's status could improve our funding!
Bullying Anonymous Reporting
You may read our board policy and/or fill out the Bullying Notification Form to submit a bullying notification to the Board of Education directly. Otherwise, report a bullying incident anonymously here. The appropriate administrators will be notified completely anonymously.
