Free or Reduced Meal Application for 2022-2023

Here are a few updates regarding school meals for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year:

COVID related waivers for free school meals expired on June 30th.

What does this mean for your family? You will need to submit a free or reduced meal application for your student to be eligible for free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch.

Paper applications will also be sent home the first day of school and are now available for pick-up Mon.-Thurs. 7:00-4:00 at the Board of Education in Ashville.  

If you were approved for free/reduced meals last school year, your student's eligibility from last year will extend through September 21, 2022.

Summer P-EBT benefits will also be provided by DHR to those who are eligible. New eligibility for P-EBT benefits must be in place by August 31, 2022. Don’t delay, complete your lunch application today!

P-EBT benefits for the summer months will be paid out after September 1, 2022.

Support specialists are available to answer questions about P-EBT by phone at 1-800-410-5827 and online at dhr.alabama.gov/food-assistance/ from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

EZSchoolPay is no longer available for use. This year, we will be using a new system called Titan Family Portal. The Titan Family Portal is where you will be able to make payments to lunch accounts. We are still in the process of getting this set up. We will notify you when this service is available for use.
