IMPORTANT FOR ALL TEACHERS:
Due to the updates with the certificate renewal process with ALSDE, External Credit Request are no longer allowed in Professional Learning. If you are wanting to attend a professional development that does not allow you to register through Professional Learning, please speak with your school Principal regarding the process to get approval to attend. They will be receiving training in September or October.
PowerSchool Professional Learning is a state-managed program that is used by ALSDE to verify professional development hours toward certificate renewal for educators. It is also where professional development hours are documented regarding educator growth and training.
Your login to Professional Learning may be different than your school district login. If you have forgotten your username or password, please use the “Forgot Username” or “Forgot Password” link under the login boxes on the Professional Learning site.
If you are new to St. Clair County Schools, and cannot log in, please choose one of the following:
- If you have previously taught in a different school district in Alabama, please contact that school system’s HR Department and request to be “released to WOLEA”. They will know what that means. Once you are released, please email Shelley McCoy AND Brandy Hyatt letting us know that you have been released in Professional Learning. This may take several weeks to process your account.
- If you are a BRAND NEW teacher, or you have never taught in a public school in Alabama, please see your school administrators for the link to a Microsoft Form that they were emailed at the beginning of the school year. Complete the form. Please be patient and watch for an email from Shelley McCoy or Brandy Hyatt regarding the creation of your Professional Learning account. This may take several weeks.
